Wicked was absolutely AMAZING!

The music was PHENOMINAL! The stage/set was incredible! The Cast was remarkable! Plus, it was a great story!

Since we couldn't take pictures inside., I found a couple online from news articles...Last night, Glinda was actually a stand-in. The picture above is her. She had an AMAZING voice! So did Elphaba!
(The one below is the main role, but you can hardly tell.)

She actually had a bubble. And Elphaba (the wicked witch) made fun of her for it.

This was amazing. I LOVED IT! I think it makes the story The Wizard of Oz so much better (far different than a child would see it, but better nonetheless)!!! I'm glad things worked out so I could go!
(I was told not to read the book by the way, so if you don't get to see the Broadway on tour, don't bother!)

Park Time

Went to the park today with the Ferrills.
Lots of fun.
Lots of great pictures.
Great fun with friends.
What can be better?

Beautiful Joanna.

Loving the swings.

Cute Isaiah.

Saying in her mind,
"Aunt Jesskah, push me!"

He was saying it too, but it was out loud.

Ferrill Family Picture
Daddy Tim, Mommy Jodi,
Baby Ferrill, Isaiah, Joanna

I like this one a lot.

... you can see faces better in this one though.

"Aunt Jesskah!" ~Joanna
(sounded more like "ahhhhh!")

See, mommy's good at pushing the swing too!

And daddy is too!

Again, she thought I was neglecting her while I took my pictures.

He wanted me to push him too. :)

Rawr! Lion and Tiger!

Joanna wanted to be one too!

Ahhhh! The tiger is going to get me!

He is getting so big!

And still soooo cute!

Time for Reminiscing

I miss camp.

Definitely the best summer of my life.

There were hard days, tired times, and struggles with patience and endurance, but in all reality, not much could have made it any better!

These are a
few of my
favorite pictures
from the summer.

From Knott's Berry Farm,

to spending time with old camp friends,

to seeing my former jr. high students from Alhambra,

there were many fun and exciting things happening all summer long!

And of course...
New and Amazing Friends!!!

I've decided I should make a blog about my injuries up at camp... not the most positive thing I guess.... but I'll still share at the end of this.

I have lots of pictures up on Facebook from this summer already. Its pretty incredible. I have a few amazing friends.. you may even notice one in particular who happens to be in about 35 of the pictures! There have been some good times! Here are a few.

Last Saturday a bunch of us went to Lake Arrowhead... just for the fun of it.

I successfully addicted a group of the girls, and even some guys, to Phase 10... this was Meg skipping me... dramatically! (the Tinker Toys were to keep her occupied between turns... lol)

This is my Megaroo. She's amazing.
(It was Mega Mega Day-80's style)

This is Riley. He's a Staff Kid. Funniest 5 year old ever. Meg and I are in his band. Meg plays the drums, Riley plays guitar and sings, and I... well, we don't know what I do yet. :D

Jessica and Meg
The new coffee shop let us be testers!

This is how we roll. LOL. Good times.

Jessica is a lifeguard... Meg is becoming a lifeguard supervisor, but is a little out of practice... so they decided to practice on Mike... they kept dropping him. 6th try was a charm... and only because it was in the shallow end!
Poor Mike.

This lovely lady is Jerianne. She's my co-lead.

We love each other.......really......

And now for the not so good times....

It hurt... a lot. Still does. My ankle gave out and I fell on rocks and broken asfault. OUCH!

Photos

Other people have already stumbled onto this... so I might as well make it more public..

I hate it when I feel like people are stalking me.

I know that's not the intention... but its creepy!! And it makes me weary of posting things. I forget who looks where. Puts me back in the "who can I talk to?" phase.. ugh.

Anyway, enjoy my photography.

Ponderment

I hate when I have a friend, and it feels like they are better than me because of the way their life has gone. Its not that they think they are better than me (though that's even worse), just me feeling... not worthy to be their friend maybe? Its just weird.

I just got a message back from a friend, who basically travels the country for a living and is seen as a cool guy by profession. Its hard to even describe. I went to college, he didn't. I have a steady job teaching, he has a job that many do not see as one a responsible adult would have (mostly older people think that... but still), mainly because of a lack of steady income. But there is still this difference, no matter our friendship, that separates us in my head. Its just weird. I know I've said that several times.. just can't think of another way to explain it.

The good news is, I know he doesn't see it this way. Others might, but he would never. And that makes it okay. Just... weird.

So tired

... of this life.

I know it sounds negative, but its true. I just am. I can't even begin to explain all the reasons for my saying this.

I've fallen in love with Dizmas' new song "Yours." I proudly own the single already and have pre-ordered their CD thats coming out in April. Here's the chorus:

I wanna give this up, I wanna hold Your hand.
Take away this fear that's like an ocean in my head.
I wanna tell you now, what I couldn't say before;
You are Everything that I was always looking for.
So take me where you want me;
Take me cuz I wanna be Yours.

wander and chase
Current mood: restless

i wonder what the thing to take me away will be
will i wander the skies chasing a dream
allow my spirit to be taken captive by the wind
a comet through the atmosphere twist and bend
to the rain that pours through my soul
ill surrender to its beauty all my controll
speak to me in whispers and screams of truth
the borders between life and death aloof

coming to a place hidden within
im standing among mice and men
were the cause of things that be
this is the reason i must be free

venture and search for a meaning in love
but love is the meaning given from above
this time like the time before its God
tangable were his image broken and flawed
what i search for and find in my self
is the manifestation of spiritual wealth
faith and hypocrasy exist in us all
be sure to look down to see your own fall

"bad words"

I find it interesting that "stupid" is now considered a "bad word."

Actually, more like pathetic. Not because I think it is appropriate to call a person stupid, but because there are so many other words that are not bad words and have an equally devistating effect on a person.

I had 2nd graders today, and one wrote another a note saying that the person is stupid. And the one receiving it, of course, had to come tell on the first.

I do not remember a single time a kid called me stupid in my entire life. Does that mean they didn't? By no means. I am sure I was called stupid to my face as well as behind my back many times. What I do remember: fat, ugly, white girl, slow, cochina (actually very common in elementary school!), as well as many other words not in English.

But these aren't considered bad words. Why is that? Because the only thing that's not okay to say is Stupid. Apparently.

Pathetic.

Carpet or Suit?

So today my dad says he's going to Sears to get a new suit or suit jacket for his trip to the pentagon this week because his is now too big. I say, why not Burlington Coat Factory? My parents forgot we had one now. So we go over there suit shopping for my dad. (I went to try to help his lack of fashion) That's where this story begins.

So we're there, looking at suits. My dad is only looking at jackets. The two he liked were corduroy and uh... this one that looks like a brown and gray carpet, but mellow. Hard to describe.. so take a look.

So I keep trying and trying different NICE looking suits... and he kept saying no. Finally found some separates he could get, not too expensive (ended up the same price as the carpet lookin jacket my mom said was more appropriate than corduroy)... And I succeeded in getting him to buy a dark charcoal suit! Pretty good huh? So then my mom and I were looking at the shirt/tie packs and saw a nice gray one with a purplish tie that would look great!

We show my dad and he says, "I'm not taking that suit with me this week anyway."

WHAT THE HECK??? He's taking the carpet jacket with who knows what pants... and leaving the NICE NEW SUIT BEHIND!!! But he's still getting it incase he needs a suit for something else in the future...

Is there any time MORE APPROPRIATE to war a NICE SUIT than a trip to the PENTAGON?????

I doubt that. My father is so stubborn!
