there are many I haven't seen since the summer after 8th grade.... but we're not actually friends anymore, more like acquaintances.... kinda wishing I hadn't left this one! lol Haven't seen some friends in 10 years... some in 5 years.... I don't know how to pick one person!

Just about anything with my grandpa. He lived in Washington and I only got to see him once every year or two until 9th grade, so the memories I have are cherished. Sorry for the pic of a pic.... didn't feel like scanning, though I need to do that anyway................... ironically, I post this picture on his oldest child's 70th birthday. Grandpa would have been 100 years old in just a few years, on March 3rd, 2015...

Impossible to pick one. Since I have been missing it lately, here are 3 of my favorite cities in Washington.



First, La Connor, which a little shopping/fishing town close to Mt. Vernon, where my grandpa lived.... s0 many memories here.


Second, Seattle.



Third, Snoqualmie Falls. One of the most beautiful places I've been. Not much there aside from the falls, but I still love the city.

This one is a verse I've needed to remember a lot lately.... while the others I love are equally important, this has been on my mind and heart.

Photography. Not so much the framing of it, but finding the right pictures to take.

Side note: Sometimes I am too much of a perfectionist.......... I want to fix it, but I can't.. oh well, it still looks great! :-) ..much better in person tho.. (not many will notice the imperfection anyway...)

Humbling Thoughts...

If I could do nothing but worship, singing praise to my LORD, I would be content to do so, knowing I have NOTHING to boast of.

If only I could get past worrying what others' think. I don't think very highly of my voice or my ability to play guitar. God doesn't care what I sound like. Why do I? As long as I make a joyful noise and have a heart of worship, that is all that matters. In fact, I believe it is better to make a joyful noise that does not sound pleasing to people, if it means that God is glorified and you aren't concerned with yourself.... but being a music person, and hearing every clash my voice might make with another and every wrong note/chord I hit.... it's hard to be joyful in my worship sometimes..... which is not so pleasing.

God, make my voice and my song beautiful to YOUR ears. That's all that matters.

I love most flowers..... especially pink (or purple) and yellow dahlias and just about any color of gerber daisies.

Day 116 - a picture of the most helpful thing you've used all week.

Aside from many other things...... my car. I've enjoyed the lack of break downs and the never failing a/c for exactly one year last week!

Cl@r!ty?

While I completely love writing messages, whether in form of e-mail, text, blog, im, or even a handwritten note, I do not like the lack of clarity that comes from writing. If I send a text in which I am trying to sound excited.... and get back the response "K" it really discourages me. I'm sure the person has no intention of doing so, but they sound so not into it that it sounds like they don't care about what I just said.

It doesn't just happen in writing. Sometimes when I get really quiet, it's because it just happened while I was talking. So I don't bother talking any more. That's not always the reason I get quiet, but I'll just say that lately..... it has happened a few times.

I don't know how to take that. Am I that uninteresting? Or annoying? Or what??? I suppose I don't really want an answer to that question........... but it does frustrate me. I want to know what people are thinking. Even if it hurts. At least then, I'd have a reason to feel discouraged.

Day 114 - a picture of your favorite sport.

So hard to pick! I like most of them some. I enjoy playing softball..... as long as I don't have to bat.... and I like volleyball.... and basketball....... and tennis.... usually. I can't play many of them because of my knees.... though I can swim.... but I don't swim for sport, I swim for exercise and relaxation. Soooo back to the picking a sport............. ahhhhh I don't know!!!
